Special Olympics - Redditch

Special Olympics Redditch is an accredited branch of Special Olympics GB and is a fully voluntary operated group that provides year round sports training and competition opportunities for people with learning disabilities. We aim to provide year round training for people with learning disabilities to take part in various sporting activities. To enable and encourage Special Olympics athletes to participate in sport on an equal level dependent on each person's ability. We are proud of the fact that we organise and host our own events. Our group compete in a wide range of sports throughout the year, whether indoor or outdoor activities. We also train weekly, with some of the more specialised sports training more frequently. Their joy is the true Olympic spirit - their achievement is to take part - their courage makes every competitor a winner.
