Onside Advocacy

Onside is a charity set up in 1993 and currently providing support across Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Onside recognises that for a range of reasons, many people in our local communities face disadvantage and inequality of access, and may encounter barriers to getting the right support, services, information and advice. Onside provide a range of services and support options to help people overcome those barriers and feel more confident and empowered to speak up, make decisions and choices, improve their health and wellbeing and engage with other people and their communities. Advocacy - is a way of supporting people to ensure they have their voice heard and their views and wishes are listened to. Adult Wellbeing Services - recognise the vital role that wellbeing plays in determining a persons physical and mental health. We support individuals to tackle the issues that are impacting on their wellbeing and provide support to develop tips and techniques for living better. Projects include Moodmaster - Equipping people with simple tools and techniques to manage life's ups and downs. Social Prescribing - Helps people to take control of their health. Community Mental Health, including Peer Support - Linking people who have experienced mental ill health, with individuals transitioning from Secondary to Primary mental health services. Adult Counselling Herefordshire - If you are over 20 years old and registered with a Herefordshire GP, our Adult Mental Health Therapeutic (adult counselling) service might be for you. Children and Families Services support depending on individual needs and age bracket - Melo, YourSpace, ActOnIt Extra, CAF (Children, Adolescents and Families)
