Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire

Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire is the strategic lead for sport, movement and physical activity across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We are a vibrant, independent charity committed to improving the lives of people in Herefordshire and Worcestershire through the power of physical activity and sport. We pride ourselves on being part of a national network of 43 Active Partnerships, we have a strong understanding of the needs and issues in our area, with a focus being on inactive people and under-represented groups. We work with stakeholders in Worcestershire such as Worcestershire County Council, Primary Care Networks, Integrated Care Boards, Sports Clubs, national Governing Bodies and also voluntary sector organisations to recognise the value and importance of physical activity, embedding it as a fundamental component within their operations, and create the conditions for an active nation using the power of sport and physical activity to transform lives. Part of our role is to understand, interpret and localise the national sports strategy (Uniting the Movement) though our primary role, as set out and funded by Sport England.
