ITS NOT DOOM AND GLOOM - WE ARE HERE TO HELP Please use the menu buttons to navigate around our site. The Redditch and Bromsgrove Branch meet at: The Rocklands Private Members Club, Headless Cross, Redditch, B97 4DL on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month 2-4pm Who are we A small branch formed in 1993 by a handful of members who met in a room above a shop in Redditch. The branch is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who form the committee, supported at all times by Parkinsons U.K. (West Midlands and National Office). National office provides guidance for all activities and outings plus advice on health and safety. Where we are We meet at the Rocklands Private Members Club, Birchfield Road, Headless Cross, Redditch B97 4DL. The venue offers huge parking facilities plus a ramp for wheelchair users. When do we meet The 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 2 to 4pm What do we do Second Wednesday - Speakers and activities, tea and biscuits. Fourth Wednesday - Exercises for coordination and balance with 'Workout Together'. Tea and biscuits. Singing for voice retention. Outings Day Outing in June Strawberry Tea in July Christmas Lunch in December Workout Together Run by Bob Schofield. It consists of gentle exercises - becoming more challenging to maintain or improve balance and coordination Singing To maintain and improve memory. Strengthens throat muscles for good voice production. Use of instruments stimulates coordination and rhythm.
